SEMI-success…. This launches the setup fine from remote Powershell but it stalls with the following error – same command line runs without a hitch if launched locally on the target server from the command prompt. So why does it gripe about BITS when launched via remote Powershell but not locally? I have a startup script in place but servers will have to reboot. Security is restrictive so while the clients can talk to the site server via port 80 it can’t talk back over the ports needed for client push. SO…..rather than wait for these servers to reboot (it’s a DEV environment) I’m trying this from a management box (that doesn’t have SCCM). But nothing happens…no errors. What am I missing? Something with x64 vs x86 or something obvious? Both source and target servers are Windows 2012 R2. I got Invoke-Command to run a WebClient.DownloadFile to get the ccmsetup.exe but this 2nd part to kick off install isn’t happening.
