I have always thought being a Network Admin was a 24/7 job. If a server goes down and you know about it, you need to fix it. You cant wait until 8am when everyone needs it. I have been very lucky (or is it good?). My networks have always been pretty stable so I haven't had to do much midnight work. At my current job I have only had to do one 3AM fix.
