occasionally roaming profiles will get corrupted. especially when you have abrupt power off's or when you are logging off your machine and then abruptly power it off. Pray that the copy on the server is ok. Then logon to the problem machine as administrator and rename your profile to something else.
For instance change c:\winnt\profiles\flook to c:\winnt\profiles\flookbak Then logoff the machine and logon again as the problem user. I would check to see if the roaming profile is OK by going to a clean machine and logging on as the problem user and see if the profile comes down ok.
