Do the students need to access a command prompt? If not remove the command prompt and the run option from the computer. Implement a policy for the student computers.

We have a student who used the net send command to send an objectionable mesasage to all users on our network. We have disabled the messenger service on all classroom machines to stop students messageing each other, but not on admin machines so that they know when print jobs are complete. Thus, all our staff received this message - including the principal - and as you can guess, this kids is in it up to his neck now. I'd like to know if we can disable the send command within the net.exe file, as we need to use net use for mapping drives from scripts for the students. Otherwise... I'm not sure what we can do to stop this happening again. Thanks in advance... themolk. ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
