In the last Jau and Brasilia meetings, Ademir Carchano shows a
litle toy. He got a Master System 3D glasses. Do you remember
the 8bit SEGA's console has a LCD glasses for 3D games. This
glasses works with a single work. The LCD in this glasses blocks
the vision of a determined eye. The he (Ademir Carchano) made a
single soldering in the VDP and did a connector of this glasses
in MSX.
You'll quest: Why? Simple! For view 3D pictures in MSX. I said
that it is a toy! The software is simple and look like it:
10 SCREEN 8,,,,3
20 SET PAGE 0,0:BLOAD "LEFTEYE.SC8",S
30 SET PAGE 1,1:BLOAD "RIGHTEYE.SC8",S
40 GOTO 40
Using a sync information from VDP the glasses blocks the eyes
creating different views for each eye, simulling a 3D vision. He
promisses distribute this schem for every one. And it is can be
used to do a great 3D game for MSX, not?
And backing to lightpens. Some top-level MSX models had it from
factory. Like the Wavy 11 (MSX1), Wavy 10mkII (MSX1) and MPC27
(MSX2) both from SANYO. Talking Sanyo, anybody know the MPC-X???
It is a graphic expander launched in 84 from SANYO (again?). It
was a graphic Expander Unit for MSX1 machines. It provides for a
single MSX1 resolution of 512x204 with 16 colors (512 colors
pallete), light pen connector, digitizer and superimposer. Wow!!
I'm talking in colours and working with a 2 bit emergency
display on my PC. :)))))
