  Novaxis don't has a DOS2 inside? Hmm...

I've a MegaSCSI, I don't think that it is expensive because is a good
project with a lot of features. Format devices in ASPI mode, support
to SCSI scanners, EVA movies and a good CD-ROM support. Wow!

Do you know that MegaSCSI can runs only with DOS1? Yes! You can use a
MegaSCSI connected in a old MSX...

EDO memory may be not possible, but normal PC 30 pins SIMM modules are
easy. The MSX2+ board from Ademir Carchano (www.carchano.com.br) has
one 30 pins SIMM conector (you put 1Mb or 4Mb of RAM in board). From
Ademir's has, too, the ACE Project with 4 (four!) 30 pin SIMM
connector (is more easy to put 4Mb or your own configuration) -- The
other advantage of ACE is that you can put this board (this MSX) in a
PC case. Visit the page to verify it.

And my FS A1ST has a 1Mb 30 pin SIMM module inside.
