Thanks a lot! I'll add to the end my original reply to the message you
replied to (confusing, huh :)). There's the thing about the operation 3
levels' difficulty.

If you make a scan, we'd love to get one. We'd most want picture versions,
as big as possible, but of course that means a lot of transferring. If you
could mail straight to us (at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]) the
pictures, maybe in a few messages that would be great. HTML versions would
be great too, but pics would be so authentic... :-)

(By the way, if you haven't read previous messages on the subject, I'm talking
about "us" meaning me and a friend of mine who are planning a homepage for
Salamander and are gathering informations...)

It says "In Latis you have found a Crystal Breeze" if I remember correct.

As above.

It's in later... but he means (correctly) that it is always the last you
_complete_. So if you choose them wrongly, the third one you play is harder.
But you make take as much time as you want choosing (before the timer runs
out of course).

We played it the two of us and we had a strategy, with which you can't die
(unless you're very greedy). The key was for player 1 to go to an upper corner
and player 2 to a lower, the thing is so big, he can't come to the very
corners...

Because of the above, we disagree.

Very true. (The other one always stealing all the weapons... ;-)

Nope.

Okay. Now comes the original reply. (I marked with !!'s the part about the
difficulty of operation 3 levels.)
Sorry for the long message (especially people on the list, who aren't
interested).

No problem. Now I'm changing this again then to private messaging.

Yes, and in a similar fashion it can be found from a prediction-hole on
Eioneus too. Sean Young's page (you know it?) says it can be found on any
of the three levels, but we've found it only on Eioneus and Kierke. Even
if the Crystal Breeze is on some level, the level still has its
predictions on some other "hole". But on Lavinia we've only found one
possible "hole" (just below the downscrolling part, first laser-launcher
at the bottom leaves a hole), and it always contains the prediction. So,
we were thinking if you know of some other "hole" on Lavinia which could
contain the Breeze. One theoretically possible place would be the right
side of the down-scrolling tunnel, but we've never even tried to get there
since the wall-lasers are on the wrong side to be shot at. Maybe they
could be shot with some insidious option-usage, but we haven't tried.
Have you?

Have you done it? :) We tried firing missiles at them, but didn't seem to
get them destroyed. Same result with Ripple. But maybe we were'nt close
enough. Almost immediately we started using options to get through, so
we've not tested other ways a lot.

That we know (I think), from Sean's page and from own experiences, that !!
the right planet to choose is the one with the most enemies visible in the !!
radar. But once when I was flying and recording sounds I therefore tried
to shoot as little as possible (so as not to get the shooting sounds
recorded), and I noticed that on Latis, for example, there appeared only
one of those monsters who usually come in rows of two or three (in the
beginning space) and some waves didn't appear at all. So we were
wondering, have you noticed such, and if so, do you know anything more.

Do they fire more, or only turn to bullets when dying? We noticed the
first but can't be sure of the last (there's quite much action for
counting bullets... :))

Yes, but is the delay between jumps fixed (seems not) or what. They can't
jump all the time so there has to be some delay, but they don't seem to
jump on regular intervals either. We've had one theory of them jumping
always, when they are directly over or beneath your ship, but we're not
sure. How do they decide when to jump, and to what direction? Well
direction is generally towards player...

That's impressive. We almost completed Kierke a few times (got to the
boss) and once got to the pre-boss on Lavinia, but never through. Although
since we learned the pattern of choosing levels, we didn't try the harder
versions...

You didn't have X/Crystal Breeze then?

Yes, we know that. But the name Leek is totally new, it is the three
levels of operation 3 then?

Can you tell us how to get the prediction from Odysseus? We've never found
it. No, we don't know the names of the bosses. I presume they're in the
manual? We'd love to get them.

Okay..., eagerly waiting :)

And yes, are you now back to your manuals and a scanner? ;-)
We could use scans of just about everything related, but most especially
the manuals. If you have the time and will it would be great...
