Hmm, if you done it exactly the way I described, then why doesn't it work
on my SCC without ROM then? I removed the complete ROM from one of them.
The way I described works perfectly, so I guess you did something wrong
somewhere in your code.

I don't do the weird things of scoring points because somebody is polite to
post in English on comp.sys.msx and I'm glad to hear CAT (or DOG he called
himself once) has stopped to reply in Dutch in such stupid way.
