Hi people!

See subject.
The photographs can be found through WWW here:

and through FTP here:

Almost all pictures are taken by me, a few by Mr. Inaba. Thanks to Mr. Inaba
for letting me use his digital camera and for making the very expensive
upload!!

Now a description of them:

1 - Taken during the lecture of Mr. Nishi. You can see the booth of Matra,
where STAR is listening carefully, although he cannot understand any word of
it! ;-) Behind him is Mr. Ikeda.
2 - Looking at Mr. Nishi while he is having his talk, from the place were I
was sitting.
3 - Same sort of pic as 1, but now you can see Ag0ny's head and Realms of
Adventure playing left from him. On the right-bottom corner you see Mr.
Inaba's back
4 - SaveR and me. Japanese style, so fingers... (on the right you see Realms
again)
5 - The welcome committee. This is right in front of the entrance. On the
table you can see the 'fair program' (no program in it, only a list of
booths and the story of last year's Den Yu Land) and on the right the Elate
brochure and the flyer. On the background Mr. Yokoi
6 - ag0ny, Japanese style, with Realms again (and Hnostar magazine) of which
he sold all 8 copies... ;-)
7 - Utter left: ag0ny and SaveR. Posing are Mr. Ikeda and Alex Mitsio Sato
8 - These guys make a diskmagazine (in Basic). The guy sitting made some
interesting drawings during the fair...
9 - Those guys were selling G-NET magazines and some books and some cd
10 - This cool guy is making an MSX version of that game ONE (or ONLY ONE).
Nice to see he has ZIP, CD ROM and HARDDISK on his MEGA SCSI.... ;-) Left of
the monitor is playing the PlayStation version of ONE
11 - Stuff from Syntax. There are now 100 NV magazines. You could buy a
collection of them in a special package (left) and also issue 100 (right,
blue packages)
12 - The guy from Syntax (sorry, forgot his name) who was also selling some
games that were ripped from Gameboy (not emulation), with the main idea:
GAME OVER COLOR. He sold them in those nice packages you see on the left.
The screen on the right was connected to his TurboR
13 - Me and SaveR again, but I was not finished with raising my thumb yet...
;-)
14 - This guy was selling some second hand stuff and some goodies like those
buttons. The MSX there is a Mitsubishi MLF110. The Super Daisenryaku
Campaign version you see on the right, I bought from him for 100 Yen (it
gives a disk error he told me)
15 - The girls from the MATRA booth. The girl on the right is SaveR's
girlfriend, if I am not mistaken
16 - Those guys were showing some funny stuff: they changed NHK News
videotapes to MSX news... Quite funny. But a little strange.
17 - The booth of Gigamix. Showing Magical Labyrinth and a demo of DM System
2. Cool: the manual of DM SYSTEM 2 is exactly in the style of the ASCII MSX
Technical Databooks (they had the Turbo R and MSX2 version to compare with).
Both Gigamix and ASCII used LaTeX for making those books. Cool! Also some
nice hardware there.
18 - See previous
19 - Those guys were selling some magazines, like MSXTrain. Nice mask...
20 - At this booth you could by Pleasure Hearts and MSX T-shirts, fans and
some magazines and books.
21 - This is a mistake, I accidently pushed the photocamera's button! ;-)
22 - AkibaTV is interviewing on DYL
23 - Check out their website?
24 - Another picture of the 'middle ring' of the room and... actually almost
the whole room. Hey, Mr. Inaba and Mr. Ido are also on the picture! ;-)
25 - Sorry for this, I found it quite funny.
26 - Booth of ESE Artist's Factory. On the left Nemesis 2 on a Turbo R, on
the right it is running on their VHDL one-chip MSX1. Quite impressive and I
think the most important thing on this fair... I toke one of those flyers:
27 - not my hand, but I took one too! ;-) As you can see, they also sold
MEGA SCSI's.
28 - Next to ESE, selling some parts
29 - Sorry, MATRA again! ;-)
30 - I have a newer version of this very same book... ;-) (It is Bernard's,
Mr. Ikeda borrowed it from him...)
31 - The poster of DYL2K
32 - General impression of the room. On the foreground the table where some
individuals were showing some stuff, see the AAMSX report (I missed the
details...)
33 - Another one
34 - The drawing guy again, now in action! He is quite good, but no-one
understand his drawings... ;-)
35 - The Disk Writer thingie. Software distribution! Nice system. Nice
Maxell ZIP! ;-)
36 - The GENET magazines I was talking about
37 - A SOny HBD-20W, 2DD external diskdrive and some other stuff
38 - Me and Bernard Lamers, who surprised me to visit DYL after all! Great
guy, we had some nice conversations in Dutch and fun... :-) Thanks for
explaining things, Bernard!
39 - Nice MSX: Yamaha YIS 604/128 at the Gigamix booth
40 - Nice stuff laying next to it: another HBD-20W and this Panasonic modem
and Halnote cart
41 - Nice stuff connected to this MSX: NEOS slotexpander with MSX View, FM
PAC, HBD-V1 (left, IIRC) and something else in it
42 - The new MATRA game
43 - closeup of the MLF110
44 - The nice buttons (or is the correct English word 'pins'?)
45 - The MSXturboR of the Syntax guy.... BAD SHAPE!
46 - Those T-shirts at the Pleasure Hearts booth
47 - The other stuff at the same booth in close up
48 - An official Panasonic G1 RGB21 monitor... But out of focus! Waah! (It
was at that drawing guy's booth)
49 - Same monitor - this is that diskmagazine again
50 - Cool T-shirt
51 - Some books and cd's sold in the middle ring
52 - Not at DYL, but in the shop called MaxLoad in Akihabara. This was a.o.
for sale
53 - Nice Casio MX-10
54 - Backside
55 - Casio MX-101 in box
56 - Backside
57 - Does someone know this game? Part one
58 - Part two. Both parts failed somewhat
59 - Also this National 2000 was for sale there
60 - The big picture of Max Load MSX hardware
61 - Bernard, Mr. Inaba and me, just in front of the side-entrance of Hirose
building, where DYL was held
62 - General impression of Akihabara
63 - Another one, boy, is it crowded there!!!
64 - Back on DYL: presentation about that game ONE
65 - Among others, ag0ny and Mr. Ikeda during this talk
66 - Mr. Inaba and other people that were bored
67 - Mr. Yamashita talking about Elate (boring!) ;-)
68 - Luckily it was all videotaped
69 - STAR and ESE people on the background. On the right Mr. Yokoi handing
the mic to someone who wanted to ask a question
70 - See 66. He is now asking his question...
71 - The final words of DYL from Mr. Yokoi
72 - Mr. Yamashita signing on SaveR's T-shirt...
73 - Hi there Mr. Suzukawa... (get undressed in public then I guess it is
okay to take your pic! ;-)
74 - The backside of SaveR's T-shirt

Okay, that's it! I hope you like it! More info in MCCW 93, I hope!

Best regards,

Manuel
