MAY MAY MOVE ON David May wants to sign a new Manchester United deal when his current contract expires in the summer but accepts he may have to move on. Outstanding Worthington Cup performances against Leicester City and Burnley have put May in the shop window but the central defender insists he wants to extend his time with the Red Devils. "I want to stay here but if that doesn't happen I want to carry on playing in the Premiership," said May. "I was quite pleased with my performance against Burnley. There were a couple of things I might have done better but we got another clean sheet and you can't ask for anything more than that. "It is nice to be playing in any game." May joined United from Blackburn Rovers in 1994 and was a popular first-choice central defender until his career was put on hold because of a series of injuries. The emergence of Wes Brown and John O'Shea plus the signings of Rio Ferdinand and Laurent Blanc have pushed the 32-year-old well down the pecking order. www.teamtalk.com http://www.red11.org/news Subscription info WWW http://red11.org/list Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] = subscribe to the list.
