Hey list, I too made that connection but chose to think that it was just a really really REALLY bad choice of words on Ed's behalf. If he was a lurker that would just be a too far fetched setup. I am quite sure that Ed does follow Manchester United (note that I didn't use the term 'support').
I was away from my computer all sunday ... but I just KNEW that once I opened my E-Mail there'd be a barrage of E-Mails lead by 'ED' saying "I TOLD YOU SO" and people responding to it ... defending tactics etc ... When I watched the game - Ed - what I saw was Manchester United creating more than enough chances to get ahead by a couple of goals ... all that lacked was a bit more clinical finishing (Ruud, Giggsy) or a bit more luck (Beckham) or better yet a referee who isn't blind (at least one penalty). As the game progressed City came back in it and had plenty of chances to tie things up ... stuff like that happens. Sure it was 2 points dropped, but it certainly was not the end of the world or even the season. But I realize you are in a "perfect" position right now. If United win games - you're happy. If we dont you can come here and say "I told you so - I knew this would happen - yadda yadda yadda. Get over it ... there's still 33 points left to play for.
