I didn't send a "barrage" of e-mails, I sent like two. And people replied, which since this is a discussion group I thought was the idea? > > When I watched the game - Ed - what I saw was Manchester United creating more than enough chances to get ahead by a couple of goals ... all that lacked was a bit more clinical finishing (Ruud, Giggsy) or a bit more luck (Beckham) or better yet a referee who isn't blind (at least one penalty). As the game progressed City came back in it and had plenty of chances to tie things up ... stuff like that happens. Sure it was 2 points dropped, but it certainly was not the end of the world or even the season. Clincal finishing is, like you said, what we needed. This is why I promote the use of two strikers as they are more likely to convert chances that come along. You can't do anything about the ref (who should be fined), but City came back into it because we resorted to defending when Butt came on. If Solksjaer had come on for Veron we'd have seen a very differnt ending IMO. Ed Subscription info WWW http://red11.org/list Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] = subscribe to the list.
