How irratating! They also wont let seats face backwards and have weird regs on which seats they allow. I'm familiar with the British rules since I worked out of LHR for 6 years. One time I couldn't get my dd into the computer with her own seat. I ended up *lying* and putting the wrong birth year just so it would go through. When I got to the airport, I explained. Pretty funny, couldn't even do it for an employee ticket lol! There are actually a whole slew of special meals to choose from. I forgot to mention, they're supposed to come out at the same time as the regular ones. The airlines want it that way but it isn't really practical if there are a lot, hence, why they arrive early.
