Are you sure the snapshots are updated? Last time I checked (a few days
ago), the snapshot was still from sometime in July. Seems to be related
to:

"(2003-07-28 16:18:29)   As of 2003-07-28, all new nightly CVS tarballs
generated will be generated with bzip2 compression (we formerly used
gzip compression). Please adjust your scripts to use a .bz2 extension on
the nightly tarball download instead of .gz. Some projects will notice a
delay in tarball generation as this cutover occurs; this cutover is one
part of our CVS service improvements which we expect will resolve
outstanding issues with tarball generation frequency."

/torkel - still thinks is would be a good thing to move the CVS away
          from sf.net
