Well, just before I got this message, I deleted all the evolution data,
bar the main one, stopped all the processes, started evolution on my
laptop and wife's machine, (to recreate the files and make sure the
deletion worked) (Deleted the Ximian contact details - grr), and the
.multisync directories on all three machines.

I then recreated the sync pairs on the main machine to my wife's and
synced it (with success) and afterwards synced it to the laptop, which
created two copies of one contact for no explainable reason. I also
installed a backup conduit on all three machines.

I haven't installed the irmc pair (on the laptop) or synced it with
gpilot on my palm yet. (I plan to delete the address books and diary on
the palm and phone first.)

I am running the standard .81 version on Mandrake 9.1 on the main
machine, which is compiled there and on my wife's machine.

I am running the cvs version on the laptop (about 5 days old). I can't
get the cvs one to compile on Mandrake 9.1 for some reason. It's
complaining about vcc or something.

The Mandrake 9.1 system has the latest evolution that ximian would give
me for that distro. 1.4 something or other. It took it out of all the
menu's anyway.

So far, so reasonable... (Apart from two copies of one entry...?)

I'll keep you informed.
