On the PalmOS machine (I have version 4.0), the right hand column of the addressbook display shows whatever addressbook field is set in each entry's "show in list" option e.g. "Work", "Home", etc. When a new addressbook entry is created on the Palm, "show in list" is by default set to one of the non-empty fields (I think the last one entered). However, when a new entry is synched in from evolution by multisync, that entry's "show in list" option is not set, or not set to something with data in it because the right hand column is always blank. In fact, "show in list" might be set to some garbage value, because when I click on the "show in list" field picklist menu, I sometimes see "?" or "^" instead of valid addressbook fieldnames, like "Work" or "Home." After the 1st synch after the resynch, nearly every entry that was originally in my Clie came back with the "show in list" set incorrectly. I had to peck through a couple hundred entries to reset them. Since then, whenever I change an entry in evolution and multisynch, I have to fix "show in list" on the Clie. If you can suggest some debugging steps I can take, I'll be glad to try them!
