Salvador, thanks for the quick reply. When you say, you don't want to reset the evolution database too often, do you mean one has to do this by hand or there is any risk involved? (I do have backups, though, so it might be worth a try) What command did you use to reset the database, and did the problem come up after that again?
An interesting question would be if the S55 is simply unable to handle non-ascii characters over Bluetooth or if Multisync / BlueZ does something wrong here (and hence should/could be fixed). I'm quite sure that I should be able to sync entries with umlauts and the like with the "official" Siemens Sync utility (after all Siemens is a German company).
