Joe:

Wonderful, though I hope you mean a source RPM! I am very
familiar with building kernels, no problem there.

The question I am asking is what are the "muscle steps".
Patching the kernel? Okay, what patch file do I use?

Then what? What other muscle steps are necessary?

I am looking for the muscle how to, not a kernel a how to.

Very Respectfully,

Here's a start:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Kernel-HOWTO.html#toc2

The Linux HOWTO documents are an invaluable resource. There may even be
a copy of the documents already on your hard drive.

You should first be comfortable building and installing/using an
unpatched kernel so you are familiar with the steps. then you can move
on to patching the kernel.

In the near future I hope to have a kernel RPM for the GPR400 driver.
Just the other day, I built a deb.

good luck,

-joe
