Hi all,

New versions of pcsc-lite, pcsc-tools and ifd-gempc are available.

The major improvement is that pcsc-lite and the GemPC410 and GemPC430
drivers support multiple same readers at the same time (for MacOSX,
GNU/Linux, xBSD). I made tests with 4 readers at the same time, two
GemPC410 serial readers and two GemPC430 USB readers. pcscd supports up
to 16 readers by default.

The GemPC430 driver should work under xBSD since it now uses the libusb
library [4] but in fact does not work :-(. USB experts are welcome.

Bye,

Changelogs follows:

pcsc-tools [1]
==============

1.2.2 - 15 Oct 2002, Ludovic ROUSSEAU
    - correct some compilation problems. See Makefile if you have a xBSD
      system
    - use an updated version of smartcard_list.txt. Thanks to all the
      contributors.

pcsc-lite [3]
=============

pcsc-lite-1.1.2beta2: Ludovic Rousseau, David Corcoran, Jean-Luc Giraud
12 Oct, 2002
- OpenBSD 3.1 and FreeBSD 4.7RC2 debug and testing
- MacOSX debug and improvement
- support multiple identical USB readers under GNU/Linux
- more debug

ifd-gempc [2]
=============

0.7.2 - 15 October 2002, Ludovic Rousseau
    - very very small modification. The previous compilation problem was
      not corrected.

0.7.1 - 15 October 2002, Ludovic Rousseau
    - very small modification to ease or allow compilation on some
      platforms (all 11 Debian supported platforms except i386)

0.7.0 - 13 October 2002, Jean-Luc Giraud, Ludovic Rousseau
    - the drivers are now shipped with low level debug messages OFF
    - do not depend on makedepend(1) anymore. Use it if present only.
    - GemPC410:
      - retry the last command if GBP returns a wrong first byte (NAD).
        This will help some GemPC410 to work. Before pcscd had to be
        started a second time.
      - add support for GemCore Repeat requests
    - GemPC410/devfs/ contains configuration files for devfs Linux
      systems
    - README.430: add a note about /proc/bus/usb/ directory under Linux
    - usbserial_mosx.c:
      - better stability and multiple reader support
      - the productId is now read from the Info.plist. This allow to
        support readers like the 432 and 435 without recompiling the
        library
    - libusb_wrap.[c|h] new files to use libusb under Linux and other
      systems supported by libusb. The USB driver _should_ work under
      FreeBSD and OpenBSD but in fact does not.
