Hi all,

A new version of the GemPC430 driver is available [1]. With the previous
version it was needed to restart pcscd after an insertion or removal of
a USB reader (or nearly so). Now you can plug and unplug a reader at
anytime and it will/should work.
For the people using 432s or 435s, you don't have to re-compile the driver anymore to support these readers. If you modify the Info.plist (in ifd-GemPC430.bundle/Content/Info.plist), change the ProductId key from 0x0430 to 0x0432 or 0x435 it should work (after restarting pcscd).

If you have 2 (or more) readers of a different type (e.g.. a 430 and a 432), you need to duplicate the bundle as many times as reader types You then have to set-up each Info.plist for a different reader. This is due to a "limitation" of pcscd because it does not support more than one ProductType key in the Info.plist.

This should should work on Mac OS X (I can not test it as I only have 430s). It could have an unpredictable behaviour on other Unix flavours (a reader of one type could be detected as another type).

If you have multiple readers of one type (e.g. two 430s), you do not need to do anything and it works on both Linux and Mac OS X.
