Sadly, the PC/SC WG never tidied up a good but not complete (and slightly
mixed up between ISO and EMV) job. It must be about 5 years ago when some
ex-colleagues and I tried to get them to finish it. They proposed in 2000 to
upgrade it and then everything faded away.

Probably MUSCLE holds the baton now.
