Moreover the CCID generic driver allows the parallel using of readers. So please make a suggestion, if you had some money and would start from scratch, which kind of USB reader would you buy to be used together with pcsc-lite and your Gemcore and/or ccid drivers?
I am happy with CCID readers (from SCM and Omnikey). Your problem will be the T=1. Perhaps volunteers want write the support of T=1 for the Open Source CCID Driver? I think that it may be the better solution for you and moreover you may also used your old CCID readers. Perhaps you may paid someone to do this?
It is the only one driver for USB readers that implements the new tag introduced in PC/SC Lite v1.2.0 (TAG_IFD_THREAD_SAFE) and allowing parallel execution on readers sharing a same driver.
In order to achieve your project, IMHO you need: - the last beta version of PC/SC Lite available on [1]. - CCID readers. - the support of T=1 by the CCID driver.
The work to do is the third point.
