Dear List, I've had a look in the archives but I can't find any hint of anyone else encountering the following problem.
I'm using OS X 10.6.3 on an Intel mac and the Gemalto USB Shell Token V2. Sometimes when I plug it in, it works perfectly. Other times (the majority of times) the log fills up with repeated messages: 13/05/2010 12:08:45 com.apple.securityd[26] /SourceCache/SmartcardCCID/SmartcardCCID-35253/ccid/ccid/src/commands.c:1236:CCID_Receive Card absent or mute and the smart card fails to function. I only have one reader, so I'm unable to tell easily whether this is a hardware failure or something to do with the software. The only hint I could find in the archives was to check that there were not two versions of the daemon running, and as far as I can tell there are not. How should I go about trying to debug this?
