After a rapid scan of the source code (file ifdhandler.c) the libacsccid should support ACS pinpad readers. You should even be able to use IOCTL_SMARTCARD_DISPLAY_LCD_MESSAGE and IOCTL_SMARTCARD_READ_KEY. You should report your problems to ACS. The Debian maintainer of libacsccid1 is Godfrey Chung <[email protected]>. So I guess he can help you with support.
