Yes, I rebuilt libusb in that way.

After rebuilding, in one terminal, I ran
export LIBUSB_DEBUG=3
to set debug level for libusb,
then
sudo LIBCCID_ifdLogLevel=0x000F pcscd --foreground --debug --apdu | tee 
log.txt
as instructed in http://pcsclite.alioth.debian.org/ccid.html to get the 
log for pcsc-lite (also libccid).

Then, I opened new terminal and ran
opensc-tool -f.

But the first terminal show only debug log for pcsc-lite, not libusb.
