Al Qur'an
"Thou causest the night to gain on the
day,
and thou causest the day to gain on the night;
Thou bringest the
Living out of the dead,
and Thou bringest the dead out of the Living;
and Thou givest sustenance to whomThou pleasest, without measure."
Let not the believers Take for
friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers:
if any do that,
in nothing will there be help from Allah.except by way of precaution,that ye
may Guard yourselves from them.But Allah cautions you (To
remember) Himself;for the final goal is to Allah.
{Surah Aal Imran ~ Ayah 27-28}

Hadith
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported
Allah's Apostle (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) as saying:
Let him be humbled into dust;
let him be humbled into dust.
It was
said:
Allah's Messenger, who is he?
He (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
He who sees either of his parents during their old age
or he sees both of them,
but he does not enter Paradise.
{ Sahih Muslim}
