Al Qur'an

There did Zakariya pray to his Lord,
saying:

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ

       Rabbi habli mill-lidunka dhurriy-yata(n) Tayyibatah.  Innaka Sami'ud-du'a
"O my Lord!Grant unto me from Thee
a progeny that is pure:

for
Thou art He that heareth prayer!

While he was standing in prayer
in the chamber,the angels called unto him:
"(Allah) doth give thee
glad tidings of Yahya,witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah,
and
(be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of
the righteous."

{Surah Aale Imran ~ Ayah 38-39}

Narrated Atiyyah as-Sa'di® : AbuWa'il al-Qass® said:
We entered upon Urwah
ibn Muhammad ibn as-Sa'di®.
A man spoke to him and made him angry.
So he
stood and performed ablution;
he then returned and performed ablution,

and said:

My father told me on the authority of my grandfather Atiyyah®

who reported
the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) as saying:

Anger comes from the devil,
the devil was created of fire,
and fire is extinguished only with water;
so when one of you becomes angry,
 he should perform ablution.

{Sunan Abu Dawud}

(Book #41, Hadith #4766)
