Hi, After trying some time ago to get an H2 working and losing the battle to work pressures, I tried again yesterday and was able to finally get my H2 to load mvpmc 0.3.0, by carefully following the wiki directions - thanks to Sunil Goda!
However, now when I 'Watch Recordings" and select a show (listings look good, so mvpmc-MythTV database functions are working fine), a red Warning box appears and says "MythTV connection lost!" Since everything else seems ok the one thing I know at this point is that in my lack of attention to MythTV over the last few months, I've been taking updates, and am now at Myth 0.20-133, and from some comments I've read it seems that there may be changes from 0.19 to 0.20 making it incompatible with 0.3.0. I'm not interested in Live TV which I know does not work, only recordings. Assuming I upgraded MythTV too soon, are there any changes imminent in mvpmc, or do I need to try to revert to older MythTV to get some life? Any suggestions greatly appreciated, I seem to have precious little time to play these days ;-( Incidentally, to maybe answer others questions about not seeing tftp traffic while trying to boot - I can see traffic but it is shown by Ethereal (I have 0.99.0 FC 4) as a Cisco protocol. By ignoring that and looking at the raw data, seeing the text in the exchange can show the request for the dongle and the response from tftpd - which in my case showed I need the -s switch on tftpd, which resolved my main difficulty in getting it going. Lastly - although I got the boot sequence to work, if I power cycle I seem to have to go through the whole dance again. Should I get to a point where the dongle is flashed, and I can safely power cycle without this complex dance? Thanks for all the hard work! /Dave ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
