That would be awesome, but most HD boxes are based on that SigamDesign chip (Strongarm core) set which already has a turn key Syabas software solution. And so far, there isn't a opensource project on the web that has made head way into this architecture. Anyone know differently? If I were Hauppauge and wanted to stay in the media client market I would seriously consider the SigmaDesign solution. At which point I would need to consider the cost of porting my existing IBM/PowerPC code to the SigmaDesign/Strongarm platform or changing the Syabas code to work with Hauppauge's existing server.
