The transcode has to be done via a external job, the default transcode
jobs only do mpeg4 and aren't complicated enough to know what will and
won't work with the mvp, the external script is smart enough to just
transcode the audio if needed. To use the myth transcode options alot
of code to understand the mvp abilities would need to be added to minimize
the transcoding required. The audio only trancoding will do a hour
video in about 5 minutes, and of the stuff I record maybe 1/3 is audio
only, on a cabletv system, all of the SD digital stuff would be audio
only trancoded.

So I would be looking at an external script or program to read out
the mythtv info, and create another entry with a slightly different
filename, since mythtv has a couple of perl scripts that do each of
the steps it should not be that difficult to actually do. This would
be added to the transcode script that I have that has the logic
to handle the mvp stuff, I guess eventually this could be re-coded
into mythtv and added as an actual transcode option.
