Oh, I get it. The SD source isn't from NTSC hardware, it's from ATSC 
hardware.  Yea, I agree, sound sync will be a problem if you are using 
AC3 audio.  Martin adjusted it (guessed at an initial value) based on 
his own experience and some video I sent him.  One work around might be 
to transcode the AC3 audio to stereo before serving the video to the 
mvpmc box.  Someone here reported the process only takes several minutes 
on a 1/2 hour show.  And it isn't like the original audio is all that 
great.  Hum, I should probably try setting this up on my mythbackend.

I also agree there isn't any provisions for setting the initial channel. 
   Sending out a preset channel immediately upon connecting may or may 
not work.  And I would imagine you would have to be *very* careful not 
to happen upon an HD station. You would almost need a mask of SD type 
stations tailored to your line up.

I guess the idea of deleting the HD type stations for one of your ATSC 
turner isn't going to fly (is that possible?) - or are you willing to do 
that?  And if you do (and it's possible), then you could go back and 
manage the tuners like we were discussing.
