Looks like I was killing the messenger there, Tom. Sorry.

I'm having a heck of a time sorting through the code due to its the
highly modular nature and my lack of experience with it. I do see what
looks like some leftovers from a "new" implementation of LiveTV, but I'm
not yet "following" it very well.

I do have some new data though:
Over the weekend I set all the DTV box channels' channum to unique (from
the DishTV lineup) integers. It tested ok with a full frontend. Then I
kept tuner 1 busy with recordings and played with the mvpmc. When tuner
1 was kept busy, the tuner 2 channels all worked perfectly from the
mvpmc (i.e., tuning them from the tv guide)!

Later, I was watching LiveTV from the mvpmc when a scheduled recording
should have started (consuming the tuner on the backend). I got the
"Lost MythTV connection" or similar warning. When I press any button to
clear that warning, I'm presented with a LiveTV channel selection menu
very, very similar to that used to present recordings. I cannot access
this magical screen any other way than to have a MythTV connection
error. Once it comes up once, it is available at any time by pressing
the stop button during LiveTV playback. All channels on all tuners
successfully tune from this wonderful screen, but, once you exit the
LiveTV session, this menu is inaccessible; pressing Stop on the remote
just returns the root menu for MythTV.

So, there IS code in there somewhere to make multiple tuners workable,
it just seems to be disabled with backdoor access only enabled by an
error condition.

Also, in a general way, mvpmc seems to refer to tuners by their
sourceid, not their cardid or cardinputid.

My other inquiry still holds: Has anyone seen the menu that provides the
option to change tuners in LiveTV?

Thanks,
Andy
