A recurring theme on this thread is the need for a light MLO type app to achieve time logging.
I use TimeEdition. http://www.timeedition.com/en/index.html It got a very favourable mention and response on Lifehacker earlier this year. I find it to be a an elegant piece of software which gives exactly what I need. In terms of really sophisticated functionality you're better off doing that stuff in Excel. TimeEdition can export to Excel. I'd be interested to know what you guys think of it.
