I've been using MLO for over 4 years now, and use it for all sorts of different things as well as the usual TODO list:
* Brainstorming - I'm a video game designer and I use the outline view to create new ideas & designs. It's really useful being able to group similar ideas together. I guess I use it like a mind map, but much quicker. * Keeping a diary - I like to keep track of what I do each day, as I'm getting older & my memory isn't what it used to be :-) I have a folder in MLO that contains a subfolder for year, then a sub-folder for each month, then a sub-folder for each day. Underneath that I keep an item for everything notable I did on that day. Obviously I mark the whole branch as hidden so it doesn't show up in the todo list! * Storing important data - Like bank logins & software registration codes I keep everything in a single data file which I synchronize between work & home using a USB stick. I used to use dropbox by my company outlawed the use of such programs! Really looking forward to the cloud sync & iPhone app, they're just what I've been waiting for! I've tried using other organisational tools such as Remember The Milk & ToodleDo, but I always end up coming back to MLO. It's just the most flexible tool of its type! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
