Agreed. It would be great even if Andrey could change it to eliminate
the duplicate task caption, which I've never understood.

Even better, I think, would be to enable a new parsing switch ("-n"
seems like a good choice) that wouuld signal "What's after this is
notes."

This would let us leave the Multiple task entry checkbox enabled, so
you could do single *or* multiple tasks *with* notes.

For example:

Establish weekly meetings -p -o -n Bob Smith will be responsible
overall, Ted will fill in.
  Email Bob re: weekly meetings -n Make sure he understands that room
must be big enough for 25 people.
  Call Ted re: weekly meetings -n 212-555-5050

(I repeated "weekly meetings" just because I don't happen to like
using the automatic project prefixes or a separate project name column
for tasks.)
