Jill,

in the recurrence advanced dialog, try to uncheck the checkbox "Do not
create a completed copy of this task". If this checkbox is not set,
maybe then you get a completed copy of the parent and all the
completed subtasks? Please let us know if this works or if not, what
effect you can see.
