Don't take silence as meaning that Andrey is not listening. I have got frustrated in the past that postings have not been responded to but then all of sudden the next release has the feature (eg manual sorting).
I am not sure that silence is the right policy because people do get fed up and go elsewhere but I think Andrey has had his fingers burnt in the past by promising stuff that he has then struggled to deliver in a timely fashion.
