These are two different things, IMHO:

   - *File>Archive* is a one time *archive* action to an arbitrary file.
   - *Tools>Options>Current MLO data file>AutoArchive* is a configuration,
where MLO does archive to every time an *auto archive* action is due for
a certain MLO data file. And this is, IMHO, stored in the MLO data file
   itself.

Just tried out: Archiving to any file in *File>Archive* does *not* change
the setting seen in *Tools>Options>Current MLO data file>AutoArchive*.

So my guess is, this error dialog John gets ("Could not archive") might
come from *auto archive* trials by MLO itself (to the "old location") and
has only a coincidental connection to Johns *File>Archive* action (to the
"new location").

John, could you check the *Tools>Options>Current MLO data
file>AutoArchive*setting of your MLO data file and give us a feedback?
