Hi, Jon. "hide branch in to-do" actually means to hide the branch if "view hierarchy" is disabled. The assumption is that "to-do" views have hierarchy off while "outline" views have hierarchy turned on. This causes some confusion when someone builds a to-do view with hierarchy on.
