No shortcut key that I can find, John. However, how about including the 
"importance" column in one of your views? You can then select multiple 
tasks, right-click on the importance column and select one of 7 preset 
levels of importance. If you're editing multiple tasks at the same time, it 
becomes almost as quick as a shortcut key.

Now I've tried it, I might even start using the "importance" parameter 
myself.
