Dear all

Thank you so much for all your generous responses. I have tried your
suggestions and I'm convinced that maybe my INS key just isn't working.
Because when I try the INS key on MS Word (after enabling overtype mode) it
also doesn't work. Interestingly, everything else in that same centre block
(delete, home, end, page up, page down) does work. So maybe I just got
unlucky with the keyboards.

In the end, I found what worked best for me was to us Alt+I = Insert and
Shift + alt+ I = Insert child. Thanks to Laurence Glazier for that
suggestion!

Once again thanks for all your help guys. I recently came back to MLO and
there's a lot to learn/ relearn, so every little bit of advice helps!
