On Android, the top line of the New Task widget says

New Task In: <Inbox>▼

By tapping the downarrow you can select other destinations, like Work or Personal

On RTE on Windows, if you are having yor input parsed, you can use the To Folder (tofld) command, like

Buy Milk -tofld Personal

Hey guys,  I'm trying to use it for both my personal life projects and tasks and for work.

use MLO for both personal and work and if so, what kind of setup do you use to avoid this problem?

Thanks.

Joel

I use two separate files. My work file is never sync'd - for privacy reasons. It stays at work on a work computer.

At work I have two copies of MLO open, one with work the other with home. If something needs dropping into an Inbox, I put it in the right one. If more than one copy of MLO is running, Rapid Task Entry will prompt for the one you want. I don't use RTE, I have a permanent tab for Inbox in each file. I flip to that and hit insert.

At home, I use the home file only, sync'd to The Cloud and my phone.

I also "abuse" MLO with diary entries, and sometimes a work entry will have a significant impact on home, or vice versa. In those cases I copy and paste between the two. I have to remember to update both entries if one changes, but I tend to keep notes in one entry only and it's just changes to dates/times that have to propagate. I've never found that downside too awkward, and have not (yet) been bitten by it.
