Hello Joel,

So, my outline structure is:

Area of Life (not folders)
>Role (folders)
>>Project
>>>Task

Where "Area of Life" is Personal, Home, Work or Community.
I make the "Area of Life" not a folder; instead the "Roles" are my top
level folders. That way, in my Advanced Filters, I can use *TopLevelParentName
*to filter by Area of Life (in your case "Personal" and "Work") and
*TopLevelFolderName* to filter by Role.

In that structure, to show both the Personal folder and the Inbox, both
with all their child items, I'd set up an advanced filter, with Show
Hierarchy set to "yes" and the Config button next to it set to "Include
child items". The advanced filter rules would be:
TopLevelParentName contains 'Personal' OR
Caption contains 'Inbox'

Does that work for you?
