I don't know if this will help you.... but here is how I manage something 
similar.

I have a set of tasks that I want to do daily ("want" being the key word, I 
don't always succeed). I have them each set with a recurrence of "reoccurs 
1 day after task is completed". This way, if I do the task, it shows up 
tomorrow as "new". If I don't do it, it shows as behind, but honestly that 
helps me prioritize the items I missed.
