I am trying to modify To-Do Active by Project view to show All My Projects that are active as a hierarchy and see both parent/child task that are under the active project (including task in the project that are not marked "This is project", I assume it is not necessary to force user to mark each child task in a project as a project to show up in the view.
Currently under To-Do default settings when I click on "Active by Project" I see group by section "None" which shows all tasks that are not actually a project. 1. My first step was to modify the filter: Advanced - isProject = is true 2. In filter General section, I have Show Actions: Active, Show Hierarchy: Yes, Show Complete: Yes 3. I create task "My Project" and mark task "This is a project", when I go to To-Do Active by Project View I am able to see this task show up. 4. I add child task (the child task I did not mark this is project) to my parent task "My Project", when I go to To-Do Active by Project I no longer see the project "My Project" and its child tasks. 5. The only way I was able to have it show up was to modify filter General Show Actions: instead of Active to All, then I finally see "My Project" and it's child tasks. But this change does not seem correct as this now means I will see both Active and Non-Active tasks. In other words if I have some task in the project that is marked with "Hide the brand in To-Do", I will still see it. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Do I need to mark each child task in a project as this is a project to accomplish what i am trying to do or is there means to further modify filter so that it shows me only ACTIVE tasks that are assigned to a project regardless whether the child tasks in project are marked this is project or not. I hope I was clear enough as to what I am trying to do. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
