Follow-up Comment #2, bug #15200 (project mypaint):
Actions taken with the brush selector dialog which confuse the colour
selector in cases 1 and 2 can also be replicated with brushkeys. Case 2 can
be triggered with Pick Context immediately after the first stroke is on the
canvas.
