Update of bug #16253 (project mypaint):

Status: Confirmed => Ready For Test

Follow-up Comment #6:

Fix, or rather one-line workaround attached. Helps with my Bamboo at least,
on Lucid (with wacom-plus modules, without, and either i386 or amd64...)

Just needed to turn on proximity-out events in the TiledDrawWidget event
mask. Not sure why this is, but it seems to work around problem 1); no need
to even install a handler for the event. Results: other devices' clicks and
scrolls are still eaten by GTK, but now only for the period when the pen is
close to the tablet. Take the pen out of range and events pass through again.
Not too big a problem with that unless people are in the habit of hovering the
pen while pressing buttons on other devices.

Ryan: I can't reproduce problem 2) in your report. Could you check to see if
you're still getting it and whether the attached patch fixes it for you?
Thanks.
