Follow-up Comment #12:

Ryan: reopened and retitled, since the original bug wasn't fully addressed;
sorry, rather jumped the gun - my Wacom problems presented identically to
your 1).

Still need a few bits of info from you: is "UC-LOGIC Tablet WP8060U" how the
Genius Mousepen presents? In other words is comment #9 the same device
described in the original submission? Apologies if I'm being dense here.

Are you using the mouse supplied with the tablet or a different one? Does
this matter (for my problems, it didn't)?

Could you attach the output of `xinput list` and `xinput list --long` in the
configuration that you see the problems with?

Finally, could you test with Martin's new input debugging window (Help >
Debug > Test Input Devices...) and attach *separate* STDOUT dumps for 1) and
2) in your original report? It'd be good if you could annotate them with what
you were doing at each point in time. You should see and feel the sequence:
PROXIMITY_IN, <can work with pen but not mouse>, PROXIMITY_OUT, <can work
with mouse again>; for 1) at least. What should happen with 2) is murkier,
but I'll see if my wacom does things differently.
