Follow-up Comment #1, bug #16741 (project mypaint):
That's why you should save to OpenRaster instead of PNG.
This works for small backgrounds only because mypaint always adds padding to
the next tile. We could store the background offset as a PNG property, maybe.
It feels a bit like a hack...
