Details:

Steps to reproduce: 

1) Start MyPaint, load one of the "patterned" Background images (e.g. the
comic-page template or movie storyboard template patterns).
2) Work with these background as reference, e.g create a comic page. 
3) Save as PNG. Shut down MyPaint.
4) Start MyPaint and load your work again. Re-activate the same background as
before. 

In this last step I find that the background is now shifted half a comic-page
relative to the open PNG image, making it impossible to continue working. It
seems the origin point of the PNG image has changed relative to the
background.
